For the month of April, we're hosting a special fundraiser and birthday celebration in honour of the wolfdogs, and you’re invited to join the fun.
Ever wonder why so many of our wolfdogs have birthdays in April and May? Wolves and high-content wolfdogs have an incredibly short fertility window. Females go into heat just once a year, and males are only fertile for about a month. In the wild, this ensures pups are born in the spring, giving them the best chance of survival. While all our wolfdogs are spayed or neutered, this natural cycle is why so many of their birthdays fall around this time.
Not sure what to bring as a gift? No problem! We’ve put together some ideas of items we know they’ll love. Plus, all presents and cards will be on display in our Visitor Centre throughout the month, so be sure to stop by and check out the decorations.
