Sarah's journey began in a quaint Southern Alberta town, where her love for animals and nature developed. While attending post-secondary, she found herself working at the Alberta Birds of Prey Centre, fostering her passion for tourism and animal rescue while working closely with owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles.
Upon completing her studies, Sarah ventured to Cochrane in pursuit of a marketing career in the big city (Calgary), all while enjoying the comforts of small-town living. However, after her move, she quickly began to miss her work with animals. This led her to volunteer with the Cochrane & Area Humane Society, which then resulted in a part-time position with the organization on the weekends.
When the opportunity to work at the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary took shape, she jumped at the chance to merge her passions, blending her love for marketing and communications with her dedication to animal welfare.
